HOME HEALTH

I am soooooo tempted to apply to a per diem position as a home health nurse. I've always wanted to try it. Currently I work 36 hours a week, would it be too much to pick up an extra day shift once a week while I already work nights? Or should I just not..........hmmmm, advice anyone???

Life.

Life is good, cant really complain..

This will be my first official blog from my MacbookPro and I am absolutely loving it! Unfortunately, I havent really had a chance to play with it because I am bombarded with work! I guess thats what happens when you come back from vacation. So far I have worked 2 out of the 6- 12 hours shifts I have scheduled before we leave for Vegas! Ohh, Vegas. I guess its kind of hard to be excited for Vegas when you just came back from a chill as island, MAUI:)

Maui was definitely an experience, and by no means is it comparable to Oahu at all! Same state, but two completely different environments. Maui is beautiful-- full of greens, serene beaches, and nothing higher than a 2story building in most parts of the island. Honestly when I first got there, I was like Oh shit, where are we??? haha, but now I know what the tour books mean when the keep saying "Relax, youre in Maui." Because it really is a place to just relax. The trip ended up being very fun, a very different kind of fun, but fun nonetheless! We watched a sunrise above the clouds on one of the worlds largest dormant volcanoes at like 4am, then afterwards did a 28-mile bike ride down that same volcano. A lot of us felt we were going to eat shit, but we all got the hang of it and it ended up being pretty cool. We went ziplining which was also fun and felt surprisingly very safe! Did a lot of beach hopping of course, shopping, great snorkeling (me & Daze were swimming right next to a turtle!:)), and cliffdiving which for some reason was sooo much scarier than Waimea bay! The Old Lahaina Luau is by far the best luau I have been to--authentic, nice scenery, and yummmy foood! I must have gained like 20lbs eating all the deeeelicious, CARBalicious platters there! yom yom! Big Mamas Fish House takes the cake for the best restaurant on the island, DA Kitchen takes 2nd place! Halloween on Front Street Lahaina was also cool! & Im glad we experienced that because Im sure it is going downhill with all the resistance from the locals in that area. Nightlife gets 2 stars out of 5, although we somehow managed to drink everynight again! hahaha, love my friends.

Lastly, the most memorable experience for me had to be the Road to Hana--the once in a lifetime, most beautiful scenic drive in my life which somehow ended up also being one of the scariest moments of my life!! The road is curvy sometimes one lane with two way traffic, but the scenery was so surreal. I remember sitting on the black sand beach thinking--omg, im so lucky to be here...cant believe Im really here. & I was just soaking it all in....how preettty everything was, how I was sitting at the same spots I was just looking at in the tour books! I loved it. Then came the scary part where we decided to take the prohibited road home while the sun was setting! We ended up driving along unpaved roads, one lane/two way curvy offroads along the cliffs...no street lights,,no reception..nobody on the road..no human in sight...NOTHING!! omg, i was fuckn terrified---a million bad things running in my head (what if there are ghosts, if we pop a tire, wild animals, were going the wrong way and theres no way home, etc). We were driving 2 hours with nothing but the whoooole backside of the island in view ahead of us, pitch black....just straight up scary. hahaha, "fuck it, if i die, i die."

therefore, Road to Hana is once in a lifetime for me and Im glad I was able to just soak in all the beauty of it:) Seven sacred pools was awesooome!

& that pretty much is the trip to Maui in a nutshell for me! I LOOOVE TRAVELING! had a 9-hr layover in Oahu, and walking around I honestly felt like i was JUST there..(i know, I was). But seemed like nothing has changed...at allllll. I still love it and all....but it kinda made me rethink if living there would be the right choice. Maybe being a frequent visitor would be the better option...I dont know what to do with myself!! btw, Dukes has a new rule where each guest can only have a maximum of two shots--i have this WEEEIRD feeling that its because of the ruckus we caused on our last night!! i really think so!

anyways, happy birthday again mama grace!! Cant wait to see you all Saturday!
